No studio.
No stiff poses.
Just you.
MY APPROACH
Portraits are
my first love.
There's a moment — usually around ten minutes in — when someone stops performing for the camera. That's the picture. That's what I'm waiting for every time.
I love shooting outdoors, in real London light and also in London’s hotels. No reflectors, no ring lights. The city does the work. All you need to bring is yourself.

WHERE WE SHOOT
I can suggest the best location based on your vibe, the time of day, and what you're hoping for. Here's a feel for the options:
“I had such a great experience shooting with Kate. She made the whole session feel relaxed and effortless. I really couldn’t have asked for a better photographer!”

The short answer is simple: wear something that feels like you — just slightly more polished. The goal is for your personality and expression to lead the image, not your outfit.
When it comes to colour, solid tones always photograph best. Neutrals like cream, beige, grey, navy, or olive keep the focus on your face and work beautifully in most locations. If you’d like something richer, jewel tones such as emerald, burgundy, or deep blue add depth and complement many skin tones. I recommend avoiding neon colours, very bright reds, large logos, or bold graphics, as they can distract or reflect unwanted colour onto your skin.
Fit matters more than trends. Choose clothing that fits well and feels comfortable — nothing too tight, and nothing overly loose. Structured pieces like blazers, tailored shirts, or well-fitted dresses create clean lines on camera. If you’d like a flattering silhouette, look for pieces that gently define your waist or add subtle shape.
For hair and makeup, aim for a natural, polished version of yourself. Makeup can be slightly stronger than everyday wear to balance lighting, and matte finishes help reduce shine. If you have facial hair, a quick tidy-up beforehand makes a big difference. For hair and makeup, aim for a natural, polished version of yourself. Most of my favourite portraits are of people who felt this way. You won’t be left standing there wondering what to do. I guide you throughout the session with natural prompts and small movements that make everything feel easy. It becomes comfortable much quicker than you expect.
